Auto Dealer Statement on Congressional USMCA Vote

Press Releases 12/19/19

Alexandria, VA (December 19, 2019) – Cody Lusk, President and CEO of the American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA), today released the following statement on the House of Representatives’ plan to hold a vote today on the implementing legislation for the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Free Trade Agreement:

“Today’s House vote is an important milestone on the road to final passage of the USMCA trade deal. Dealers are optimistic that a Senate vote will soon follow and bring an end to the trade uncertainty facing the auto industry, allowing it to get back to what it does best: building and selling cars. America’s international nameplate auto dealers, their 578,000 employees, and their millions of customers deserve stability, which this agreement provides.”
