AIADA's 10th Annual International Auto Industry Summit

On May 10-11, 2016, dealers joined AIADA for 24 hours in Washington, D.C., to change the way they viewed the role of politics in their business. Opening with a briefing by Erin Kerrigan on the dealership buy/sell market and the launch of AIADA's You Auto Know campaign, the 2016 Summit also included keynote remarks by Gen. Stan McChrystal, election analyst Stuart Rothenberg, and pollster and communications professional Frank Luntz.

Dealers concluded their time inside the beltway with a special Congressional luncheon at the Capitol Hill Club with Chairman Jeb Hensarling of the House Financial Services Committee and Rep. Vern Buchanan of the House Ways and Means Committee and meetings with their members of Congress.

The Summit opening dinner featured the presentation of the first ever Fritz Hitchcock Award. Read more 2016 AIADA Chairman Greg Kaminsky of California thanked dealers for making the trip to Washington, D.C., to engage their legislators. 
Gen. Stan McChrystal keynoted the Summit opening dinner, sharing his thoughts on leadership and organizational teams.  AIADA Chairman Cody Lusk was joined by Global Automakers President and CEO John Bozzella to present the 2016 Economic Impact Report
Representatives from Hyundai and Toyota, Cliff Banks of The Banks Report, and dealer and former AIADA Chairman Bradley Hoffman participated in a panel discussion on the future of the dealer franchise model.  Chairman Jeb Hensarling of the House Financial Services Committee addressed dealers during a special luncheon at the Capitol Hill Club. Following the lunch, dealers met with legislators in their Hill offices.
