    The Tomes Auto Group in McKinney, Texas gives back to their community numerous times each year, so when a local charity reached out for help, the Tomes team jumped into action. The Baby Booties Diaper Banks a non-profit that gives free diapers to families that are in need twice a month. The diaper bank found themselves in desperate need because their inventory of diapers was very low. The Tomes Auto Group started collecting diapers and 30 days later the team presented Baby Booties with a gift of over 56,000 diapers. This gift supplied free diapers to more than 500 families.

    The Gettel Foundation recently made a generous donation of $50,000, divided equally between two local high schools in Florida. Parrish Community High School in Bradenton and Loften High School in Gainesville each received $25,000. These funds are specifically allocated for the schools’ Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair programs, supporting students interested in pursuing careers in the automotive industry. This contribution aims to enhance educational resources and opportunities in these vocational programs, benefiting the students and their communities.

  • Wilde Subaru

    June 7, 2024

    Earlier this month, Wilde Subaru announced that they raised $42,000 for the Food Pantry of Waukesha, during their Subaru Share the Love Event. The Food Pantry of Waukesha provides food, hope, and dignity to county residents in need, and advocates to increase awareness of hunger through community partnerships. The Food Pantry serves children, elderly, residents with disabilities or health issues, and temporarily unemployed.

  • Byers Subaru Dublin

    Earlier this month, Byers Subaru Dublin announced that they raised $58,565 for Star House, during their Subaru Share the Love Event. Supporting Central Ohio’s youth, ages 14-24, experiencing homelessness, Star House offers more than just basic necessities. They provide access to food, clothing, hygiene items, and crucial resources like therapy, case management, and housing assistance. Click here to learn more.

  • Yark Automotive

    May 10, 2024

    Earlier this week, Yark Automotive spent time with the second graders in Mrs. Brooke’s class at the Ottawa Hills Local Schools Wondry STEAM Center, driven by The Jim Yark Family. Yark Community Relations Director, Emily Yark, presented and performed an activity with the students aimed at engaging students in a fun and educational experience centered around cars and automotive technology. Students used a cup, two lids, a straw, a rubberband, a bead, and a toothpick to create a wind-up car that they drove through the Yark STEAM Car Village. This hands-on activity allowed students to explore concepts related to speed, energy, and automotive engineering in an interactive and engaging manner. Click here to learn more.

    Recently, Gary Rome Hyundai and Western Mass News sponsored the second annual Jack Rome 5k. All funds raised were donated directly to the Foundation for TJO Animals and will be used specifically for medical and veterinary care, emergency surgery, and rehabilitation services to help the animals find new loving homes “This year, we aim to raise even more! I invite you to join us on May 5th to commemorate Jack and help his legacy live on through the lives of animals waiting for adoption at TJO,” said Gary Rome, President of Gary Rome Auto Group. “Jack had a very fulfilling and joyful life for 13 years. When I was at work, Jack was there too, bringing a million smiles to customers and employees alike. I am extremely grateful that his memory will continue to benefit the animals at TJO.”
