The 2016 Federated Challenge® Raises $2.6 Million for Big Brothers Big Sisters®

The Federated Challenge is a two-day fund-raising event hosted by Federated Insurance, AIADA's recommended insurance provider headquartered in Owatonna, Minnesota.

This one-of-a-kind event, which combines a Sunday evening gala and auction with a Monday golf tournament, raises millions of dollars to support children facing adversity. As these inspiring young people strive to overcome a host of challenges that threaten their future, Big Brothers Big Sisters ® provides hope and a guiding hand. Thanks to AIADA's Executive Level Sponsorship and the generosity of the many other individuals and organizations that support the Federated Challenge, nearly $25 million has been raised since 2004. One hundred percent of the money raised will be donated to Minnesota's three Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies and the Federated Challenge Scholarship Fund, which provides up to $5,000 per year to qualified Littles and high school-aged Bigs who are enrolled in a non-four-year program at a trade or technical school or community college that focuses on an apprenticeship, certificate, or degree.

"Once again, we are overwhelmed by the generosity of attendees and our corporate sponsors," Federated Challenge Co-Chair Jeff Fetters said. "Minnesota's future is brighter than ever before because these benefactors continue to support youth mentoring programs."
