This holiday season, don't forget yourself when parceling out gifts. Make it your New Year's resolution to do something good for your business and your employees by registering today for AIADA's 40th Annual Meeting & Luncheon in Orlando, Fl.
Every year, AIADA holds an Annual Meeting and Luncheon in conjunction with NADA's yearly conference. Hundreds of dealers, from all around the country, gather to talk cars, business, and legislation that impact our bottom line. It's an invaluable use of your time. Next year's meeting, held in Orlando on February 15, 2010, is especially important as it marks an important milestone for AIADA: Our 40th anniversary.
To celebrate AIADA's 40 years representing the concerns of international nameplate dealers in Washington D.C., the theme of the meeting will be "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow." We have been advocating for free trade, fair taxes, and sound energy policies since 1970, and we will continue to do so as long as dealers sell and service international brands in America.
John Krafcik, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor America, will give the keynote address at the 2010 meeting. John, and Hyundai, embodies how far this industry has come, and the enormous potential it still contains. He will discuss the challenges faced by our industry, and how Hyundai plans to grow its business in the new decade.
In addition to John Krafcik's take on where our industry is headed, AIADA's 40th Annual Meeting and Luncheon will feature the presentation of the David F. Mungenast Lifetime Achievement Award. This award, named for one of our industry's most memorable dealers, is presented annually to an individual whose contributions to the international auto industry set them apart.
AIADA's Annual Meeting & Luncheon meeting is also the event at which I pass the gavel, and the role of AIADA Chairman, on to the Chairman-Elect. Rick DeSilva of New Jersey will be picking up where I leave off, and the Annual Meeting & Luncheon is a great place to meet him.
The meeting is also a great place to meet fellow dealers, influential industry leaders, and association heads. In this economic climate, it's more important than ever that dealers leverage every opportunity to benefit their business. The Orlando meeting is a huge opportunity. Come and be a part of the auto retail community that is working to preserve our industry.
Registration for the meeting is available online at AIADA.org/events/ or call 1-800-GO-AIADA. Don't wait - register today!
Happy Holidays,

Russ Darrow
AIADA Chairman
