On February 15, AIADA's 2009 Chairman Russ Darrow handed his gavel, and the responsibility of leading AIADA throughout 2010, over to new chairman Rick DeSilva. Rick brings with him to his new position deep resolve and a powerful willingness to engage legislators in Washington, D.C.
As Russ put it, we are in good hands with Rick DeSilva.
During Russ' tenure, he started a blog - Russ off the Cuff. His weekly, frank missives were a hit with dealers, industry representatives, and the press. Starting later this week, Rick will continue the tradition of the Chairman's Blog with his straight-shooting Rick Report.
The Rick Report will be e-mailed out to our membership and posted on the front page of our website, www.aiada.org, whenever Rick has something to say. Topics will range from legislative issues - like tax policy - to trade, to the day-to-day challenges international nameplate dealers face.
While the subjects may change, the Rick Report will always be a no-nonsense take on issues, straight from the dealership floor. At AIADA, we look forward to sharing Rick's humor, opinions, and insights with you.
